- How long does it stay on

This varies person to person and depends on the metal, chain style, and how you care for it. If cared for properly they can last for a very long time or even forever, until you choose to remove it.

- Who can get permanent jewelry?

Anyone who is at least 4-5 years of age. Children need to be able to safely wear jewelry unsupervised, and keep in consideration that they are still growing!

- Can you shower and swim with it on?

Yes! When going about your activities just be mindful of the factors that can make certain metals tarnish.

- What can make it tarnish?

Even though gold filled and sterling silver last a long time, it's not recommend that the jewelry come in direct contact with cleaning chemicals, lotions, serums, perfumes, high heat or ocean/hot spring/pool water (mostly chlorine or sulfuric environments). This can dull your pieces & reduce their shine. Gold fill will fade over time, typically after 6 months to 2 years, but since the base metal is brass it's subtle. Solid gold is the highest quality and does not tarnish, making it the ideal metal for long term wear.

- Can I clean my tarnished jewelry?

Yes, you can clean or polish your jewelry at home using various methods, but always check that it’s safe for the type of metal. We encourage cleaning your jewelry, semi-frequently to remove any buildup and prevent tarnishing, which will make it last longer! We do not clean your worn jewelry in store.

- Can you take it off or put it back on? How much does that cost?

You can cut it with wire cutters (nail clippers work too!) or come to us and we will remove it for you. Chains purchased from us we can remove and put back on at no cost! Chains purchased elsewhere will have a $20 fee to put on, which can be waived if you are purchasing an item from us.

- Can I add in a charm later?

Yes, you can add charms anytime! This is also a great option to add length to a chain that’s too short.

- What's the average cost for a bracelet?

Sterling silver bracelets start at $55, gold fill start at $65 for small chain styles and will go up in price for larger styles. Solid gold is priced by the inch starting at $25/inch, which means the cost depends on your wrist size and is significantly more expensive. We are happy to give you a personal measurement and estimate!

- Can I get an anklet, necklace, or hand-chain?

Yes! These do require more materials, have higher starting prices and can take a little longer to put on.

- I thought my chain was gold fill/sterling silver, why did it tarnish so fast?

Unfortunately some companies use plated jewelry which will tarnish very quickly, especially being worn permanently. This is why it’s important that jewelry supplies come from trusted sellers. Although, extreme tarnishing factors could cause your gold fill/sterling silver jewelry to tarnish faster than usual.

- Where do we get our chains & charms?

We get our chains and charms from two large companies based in the United States, they have the best chains!

- What if I'm pregnant, gain weight, swell, etc.?

If physical changes are a concern, we recommend getting a chain that can have a link or charm added if it gets too tight. We don’t recommend having the chain very loose to avoid catching on things, but we can definitely add wiggle room to account for swelling!

- Do I need an appointment?

Nope, we always accept walk-ins! We only really ask that you make an appointment for a group of 5+.

- What if I play sports or am really active?

Make sure that wearing jewelry is allowed, and get a stronger chain that can handle more wear and tear. We also recommend cleaning your jewelry more often since sweat, humidity and heat can cause tarnishing.

- What if I get an MRI, surgery, tattoo or need to remove it for another reason?

We are happy to remove and put your jewelry back on at no cost if you purchased it from us. Jewelry purchased elsewhere will have a $20 fee.

- Can I travel through airport TSA?

Yes! Our employees and customers have had no issues traveling domestically or internationally!

- Why is there a dark/discolored band around my skin sometimes?

Does this mean it's not real? When your environment or skin pH levels change, you might notice a dark ring on your skin. This is a totally normal chemical reaction, which occurs when chemicals touch the metal causing a reaction to its environment. Make-up, sweat, acidity, chlorine, perfume, lotion or sunscreen can contribute to the dark ring transfer and we can't control what you put in/on/around your body after we put the jewelry on you. It has nothing to do with the quality of metal and can easily be cleaned off with soap & water or a wipe. This dark ring doesn't mean the chain is tarnishing, instead tarnishing occurs when the base metal is showing - presenting in a pink color. We know this dark ring can be bothersome but it's an easy fix. It happens!

- PSA: Gold Filled jewelry is safe & hypoallergenic. If you have an allergy to brass, as our Gold-Filled jewelry still contains this metal, your skin may have an allergic reaction.
